I began working when I was 11 in our family business, a screen printing factory, located in Fairfax, South Carolina where over the years I worked in every department. 

 

In the late 80's at the age of 23, I decided it was time to get out of our little town and explore the world.  I lived and worked in cities from Atlanta to Seattle, and as far away as Osno, Poland, not long after the fall of communism (a story for another day).

 

A little over ten years ago I met and married a traditional South Carolina man and we had two lovely little girls.  Being a mom is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life so far!

 

Working for corporate giants like Wells Fargo gave me insight and experience in highly organized operations while my more recent experiences in self-employment, tax law and government have given me an extensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges Americans face today. 

 

The "Great Recession" of 2008 has been a big challenge for me and my family and like so many others, it caught us unawares. 

 

Since selling my business, The Fast Tax in late 2009, I have been passionately inspiring, supporting, educating and helping people thru these turbulent times with my writings on Facebook.  You will find me there virtually every day.
